L'auteur met en relief la personnalité de Paul, sa vie et sa place dans l'annonce de l'Évangile ; elle s'attache aussi à définir les grands axes de la pensée paulinienne : la foi au Ressuscité dans son surgissement et son déploiement, les implications existentielles de cette foi ainsi que la nature et la fonction de l'Église au sein de laquelle la rencontre du Christ est vécue.

An introduction to the writings of Paul – and those attributed to the Apostle – starting out from the texts themselves, with the aim of acquiring a personal understanding. The author reveals Paul’s personality; his life and his role in announcing the Gospel. She also defines the major axes of Paulian thinking: the faith of the resurrected Christ in his apparition and deployment, the existential implications of that faith and the nature and function of the Church, within which meeting with Christ is experienced.
